Two ways to move your places

From your saved lists to a usable spreadsheet.

Available without a direct connection

Import a Google Takeout file

At Google Takeout, choose Saved and download your archive. Import the ZIP or a Saved collection CSV, review your places, edit notes, and select the rows to export.

Files are read locally in your browser. When you choose Export to Google Sheets, authorize Google and the selected rows are sent to a new Sheet.

For eligible Google accounts

Start a direct Google transfer

Authorize Sheets and Saved collections access in two separate Google consent steps. Google prepares your Saved archive, and our server extracts its Maps places and creates a new Google Sheet.

Google currently limits direct transfer to eligible accounts in the EU, Switzerland, and the UK. It can take minutes to days. Use Takeout if your account is in Turkey or another unsupported country.

Clear permissions, a clear purpose

You choose what moves.

MoveMyPosts requests drive.file to create and fill the spreadsheet you request, and dataportability.saved.collections only for a direct transfer. We do not change your original Maps lists or provide continuous sync.

Direct-transfer archives are processed in server memory. Pending Google tokens are stored encrypted. Manual imports stay in this browser until you clear them. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising or generalized AI training.
